Boats for the Twenty First Century
Modern plastics are replacing fiberglass the way fiberglass replaced
wood. This is not a bad thing but a step forward in boat building. The
new plastics are stronger and lighter, making boats that last longer and
take more abuse. I am excited these boats have more speed potential at
less of a cost then more expensive composites. Most of these boats cost
less then today's bicycles. It's time to look in to the future and realize
the benefits of plastics.
